Eden Miller DO
Dr. Eden Miller was born and raised in Salem, Oregon. Dr. Miller graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri in 1997. In 2001, she completed her residency at Eastmoreland Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Eden was a board member of the Osteopathic Physician and Surgeon Board of Oregon and past vice-president of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians of Oregon. Her practice is family oriented with a subspecialty in diabetes care. “I focus on diabetes because in medical school I contracted the disease and I am determined to teach patients how to become experts on their own disease.” Eden is also a national lecturer for diabetes treatment and prevention.
Marc Steinburg MD
Co-Author of the recently published book, Motivational Interviewing in Diabetes Care, Dr. Steinburg is a physician who has worked extensively with people who have diabetes and are struggling with diabetes self-care. He offers motivational interviewing trainings to healthcare organizations and also works with small groups who want to learn MI. Dr. Steinburg will be providing a pre-conference workshop on Motivational Interviewing.
Quinn Nystrom
For the past 18 years, Quinn Nystrom has shared her story of living with Type-1 diabetes to audiences across the country. As the National Youth Advocate for the American Diabetes Association she spent a year traveling across the country to diabetes camps, convention halls, the White House, corporate offices and the United States Congress. Her message is simple: We must find a cure for diabetes and provide support and care for the millions of people living with the disease.
