The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for providing medical nutritional therapy to patients of all ages within MultiCare Health System with a variety of medical conditions. This position works as a team member with the Dietetic Technicians and Nutrition Assistants within the hospital setting and/or physicians, nursing and other professionals in the inpatient and outpatient setting. Work situations are varied, requiring organization, interpretation of information from a variety of sources, attention to detail, and a service-oriented individual.
Position requires employee to travel to multiple locations per week - Tacoma, Olympia, Puyallup, Silverdale, Covington - not negotiable.

As part of the field sales team and in partnership with your Territory Manager, you’ll provide continuing education and pump training to patients, customers and health care professionals on patient use of insulin pump therapy. You’ll take the lead in conducting educational classes that support diabetes education and advanced diabetes management skills and be given the opportunity to co-develop successful strategies with your field partner to address clinical concerns within the sales territory. Ultimately, you’ll work in partnership to effectively promote Tandem’s unique market position and communicate our mission to make the lives of people with diabetes better and better. This is a field based position that includes the state of Washington with the exception of the Tri Cities area.
Provide initial and comprehensive skills training and education to patients and family members with diabetes and other medical nutrition diagnoses regarding planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating self-management care. The RD, CDE will be responsible for conducting individualized patient needs assessments, providing individual and group patient education, maintaining organizational ADA program certification, program development and growth, and serving as an organizational resource regarding diabetes chronic disease management. The ideal candidate for this position is experienced in nutrition therapy for a wide spectrum of patient populations including chronic disease management, health optimization and weight management for Adults and Pediatrics. Job responsibilities include 1:1 nutrition counseling, wellness workshop facilitation and teaching, diabetes education and management, and participation in care coordination as part of a multidisciplinary team.
